Commonwealth Bank of Australia confirmed at its annual general meeting in Brisbane on 15 October 2025 that Chief Executive Officer Matt Comyn will remain in his role until at least 2028. Chair Paul O'Malley provided the confirmation to shareholders at the meeting.
Comyn has led Commonwealth Bank since 2018.
EVENTUAL SUCCESSOR
O'Malley noted at the annual meeting that the decision on who will ultimately succeed Comyn as CEO will be made by the board under the leadership of his own successor as Chair.
