Bank Muscat reported net profit of OMR209.18 million for the first nine months of 2026, up 9.2% from OMR191.57 million a year earlier, according to figures announced on 15 October 2026. Zawya reported that the profit equals about $544 million and was supported by growth in customer deposits and lending.

Interest income and revenue both rose

Net interest income from conventional banking plus Islamic financing income was OMR321.4 million in the nine months, the bank said. That was up 3.4% from OMR310.9 million in the same period of 2025.

Total revenue grew 4.27% to OMR453.03 million from OMR434.47 million a year earlier, according to Mubasher. The outlet put those figures at $1.17 billion and $1.13 billion respectively. Revenue growth of 4.27% compares with profit growth of 9.2%.

Zawya reported that the bank's assets rose 10% to OMR16 billion. Mubasher said the figures come from preliminary, unaudited financial statements, which showed net profit after tax of OMR209.18 million against OMR191.57 million a year earlier.

A record 2025 precedes the latest results

Zawya describes Bank Muscat as the largest lender in Oman by assets. The nine-month results follow a year of record annual earnings, according to Mubasher.

For full-year 2025, the bank's profit rose 13.28% to a record OMR255.54 million from OMR225.58 million in 2024. Mubasher said that was the fifth consecutive year of profit growth.
