Coris Bank International appointed Alassane Kaboré chief executive of its Côte d’Ivoire subsidiary and Nikada Tchanguaï deputy chief executive in charge of the Support Division. A market notice published on 19 October recorded both appointments. The bank did not disclose an effective date in the material reviewed.
Kaboré moves from the group’s Togolese bank, which he led for seven years. He joined Coris in 2011 in corporate banking in Burkina Faso and later served as risk director in Mali. Tchanguaï was identified in the market notice as a Togolese banker. The pair will oversee a subsidiary that is larger by assets than the group’s Togolese operation.
REGIONAL EXPERIENCE SHAPES THE NEW TEAM
Kaboré’s earlier roles span corporate banking, credit risk and executive management across three West African markets. Oceans News reported that Coris Bank Togo’s total assets reached CFA615.5 billion in 2025. It said net profit rose 23.1% to CFA7.06 billion over the same period, citing regional banking data.
Coris Bank International Côte d’Ivoire reported a larger 2025 balance sheet of CFA1.324 trillion, according to Oceans News. The outlet placed net profit at CFA24.5 billion and ranked the bank as the group’s second-largest subsidiary by financial weight. Tchanguaï’s support-division mandate adds operational oversight alongside Kaboré’s overall executive responsibility.
MANDATES AND TIMING NEED CLARIFICATION
Coris has expanded across Francophone West Africa through separately regulated subsidiaries. The Côte d’Ivoire unit serves individuals, small and medium-sized companies and project sponsors in a competitive deposit and corporate-finance market. The new leadership team will inherit the task of balancing growth, profitability, asset quality and regulatory requirements.
The bank has not publicly detailed the executives’ immediate priorities or the handover timetable in the material reviewed. A formal subsidiary announcement would clarify the effective dates, reporting lines and any further management changes. The next measurable milestones will be the leadership transition and the bank’s first financial disclosures under the new team.
