Fifth Third Bancorp has named Bryan Preston as its Chief Financial Officer, effective 2 January 2024. The US regional bank has more than USD 200 billion in assets.
Fifth Third is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
LEADERSHIP TEAM UNDER TIM SPENCE
Preston, previously Fifth Third's treasurer and a veteran of nearly two decades at the bank, succeeds Jamie Leonard, who became chief operating officer. He reports to Tim Spence, who on the same day added the role of Chairman to his posts as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fifth Third Bancorp. Spence has been CEO since 2022.
Fifth Third Bancorp operates across eleven states with a retail banking network, a commercial lending platform, and a suite of wealth management and payment services businesses.
Fifth Third announced the changes on 19 December 2023, alongside the appointment of Brennen Willingham as Treasurer in succession to Preston.
