The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance Group announced a net profit after tax of JOD 120 for the first nine months of 2026, against JOD 119 in the same period of the previous year, both figures in millions. Net direct credit facilities grew by 10.2% and total deposits by 3.3% over the period.

CEO Ammar Al-Safadi confirmed that the growth spanned the group's various financial indicators and was supported by all of its operating sectors. The capital adequacy ratio stood at 18.8%.

LENDING, DEPOSITS AND CAPITAL STRENGTH

Total equity reached JOD 1.5 in billions. Al-Safadi pointed to the strength of the capital base, noting that the 18.8% capital adequacy ratio is higher than the minimum regulatory requirements of the Central Bank of Jordan.

CHAIRMAN AND CEO ON THE RESULTS

Chairman Al-Khatib said he was satisfied with the group's ability to keep achieving sustainable growth despite challenges facing the global and regional economy. He said this reflected the strategic approach the group follows across its operating sectors. He added that the strong performance showed the group had succeeded in executing its development plans and could deal flexibly with economic challenges.

Al-Safadi reaffirmed the group's commitment to providing innovative banking solutions and distinguished services in a flexible and evolving operating environment. At the half-year stage he said the bank's strong performance reflected its success in delivering innovative financial solutions and high-quality initiatives.

HOW THE NINE MONTHS COMPARE WITH THE FIRST HALF

BLUE BOND, MARKET POSITION AND FOOTPRINT

Al-Safadi noted that the bank had issued the first blue bond in the Kingdom, valued at USD 100 million, as part of a USD 200 million programme in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
