PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), Indonesia's largest private-sector bank, reported consolidated net profit of IDR 29.54 trillion for the first half of 2026, up 1.8% from IDR 29.02 trillion a year earlier, as its loan book crossed IDR 1,000 trillion for the first time. The Jakarta-based lender presented the results at its public expose on 28 July.
CORPORATE LENDING LEADS
The bank said profit was supported by lending, with total loans up 8% year on year to IDR 1,036 trillion at the end of June. Productive-sector loans grew 11% to IDR 802 trillion. Within that total, corporate lending rose 13.6% to IDR 513.4 trillion, while commercial and SME loans increased 6.6% to IDR 288.5 trillion.
Green financing grew 19% to IDR 123 trillion, including an 82% rise in renewable-energy financing to IDR 7.7 trillion. Loans for electric vehicles increased 25% to IDR 4 trillion.
On the funding side, current and savings account (CASA) balances grew 10.2% to IDR 1,082 trillion, and total third-party deposits rose 7.9% to IDR 1,284 trillion. CASA accounted for about 84.3% of total deposits.
MORE MEASURED PROFIT GROWTH
The loan-at-risk ratio stood at 4.9% and the non-performing loan ratio at 1.9% at the end of June. Non-interest income increased 11% to IDR 13.2 trillion. The 1.8% rise in net profit was equivalent to an increase of roughly IDR 0.5 trillion.
President Director Hendra Lembong told the public expose that the bank continued to extend credit with regard to prudential principles and the company's liquidity position, and attributed the first-half performance in part to productive lending across a range of sectors.
