Kasikornbank reported full-year 2024 net profit of THB 48.6 billion, a rise of 14.6% year on year, in results published on 21 January 2025. The improvement was driven in part by a reduction in credit costs, which fell to THB 47.3 billion from THB 51.8 billion in the prior year, while loan growth remained subdued.

Net interest income for the full year reached THB 149.4 billion, contributing to total operating income of THB 197.9 billion. The bank's net interest margin stood at 3.64%.

CREDIT COSTS AND LOANS

KBank provisioned about THB 4.6 billion less than it did in 2023. Management's cautious credit policy kept loan growth flat in volume terms over the period.

The capital adequacy ratio was maintained above the regulatory minimum.

The 14.6% profit increase was achieved through lower provisioning and higher non-interest income rather than loan growth.
