Peach Payments, the South Africa-headquartered payments gateway, has agreed to acquire PayDunya, a Senegal-based payment infrastructure provider, in a deal announced on 3 April 2025 for an undisclosed consideration; completion was expected within several months, subject to customary closing conditions. The transaction marks the company's first entry into mainland Francophone Africa.

Prior to the acquisition, Peach Payments operated in South Africa, Kenya, Eswatini, and Mauritius.

PAYDUNYA'S WEST AFRICAN PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE

PayDunya operates payment infrastructure across six Francophone West African countries (Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo and Mali), serving more than 4,000 business clients, giving merchants tools to accept payments through mobile-money integrations, card processing channels, and web-based payment pages.
