QNB Egypt reported consolidated net profit of EGP28.054 billion for the nine months ended 30 September 2026, an increase of 26.3% from EGP22.211 billion a year earlier. The bank’s own summary rounded the figure to EGP28.1 billion and put growth at 26%. Standalone net profit reached EGP26.9 billion, up 25%. The results were published on 11 October.

Total assets exceeded EGP1.13 trillion at the end of September, 22% above December 2025. Customer deposits rose by roughly EGP174 billion to about EGP952 billion, also 22% higher. Loans and advances increased by EGP89 billion to EGP556 billion, a 19% rise. The figures show balance-sheet expansion alongside the profit increase.

BALANCE SHEET AND ASSET QUALITY

QNB Egypt reported a capital adequacy ratio of 25.6% at the end of the period. Its non-performing-loan ratio improved to 3.72%, while coverage of loans below standard rose to 125.1%. Those measures provide context for the expansion in lending and total assets.

The bank said 96% of its transactions were executed through digital channels. It reported 241 branches after adding three during 2026, alongside 907 active cash machines. Use of internet and mobile banking reached 45% among retail customers, while corporate digital-platform penetration was also 45%.

WHAT THE RESULTS SIGNAL

The 26.3% profit increase exceeded the 19% expansion in loans and advances. Deposits and assets both rose 22% from December, leaving the bank with a larger funding base and balance sheet at the end of September. The reported capital and coverage ratios indicate that this growth was accompanied by maintained buffers.

The next full-year accounts will show whether QNB Egypt sustains its profit growth and asset-quality improvement through the final quarter. They will also indicate whether deposit growth continues to fund the expansion in lending without weakening capital adequacy or coverage.
