QNB Group reported net profit of QAR 4.26 billion for the first quarter of 2025, a 3% increase on the same period a year earlier. Operating income rose 6% year-on-year to QAR 11 billion. The group's network of operations spans some 28 countries.

Total assets reached $364 billion at the end of March, a 7% increase compared with the same point a year earlier. Loans and advances grew 9% to $260 billion, while customer deposits increased 6% to $255.6 billion.

COST-TO-INCOME RATIO AND TURKISH SUBSIDIARY

QNB's cost-to-income ratio stood at 22.7%, which the group described as one of the best among large financial institutions in the Middle East and Africa region.

The group's international network includes QNB Finansbank, its Turkish subsidiary. QNB Turkey's first-quarter profit more than doubled to about $93 million, and Turkey accounts for about 10% of the group's loan book. When the impact of the global minimum tax, which imposes an additional layer of taxation on multinational groups operating above defined profitability thresholds, is excluded from the calculation, the group's underlying net profit growth for the quarter was 11%.

ASSET QUALITY

QNB's non-performing loan ratio was 2.8%, which it described as one of the lowest in the region.
