State Street Corporation announced that Eric Aboaf, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, will leave the firm in February 2025 to pursue an opportunity outside the banking industry. Aboaf, who has held the CFO role at State Street for eight years, is expected to remain at State Street into February 2025, through the filing of its 2024 annual report. The bank immediately initiated a formal search process for a replacement, with the company considering both internal and external candidates.
Aboaf has overseen State Street's financial reporting, capital management, and investor relations.
