The Central Bank of the UAE imposed a financial sanction of AED 3,500,000 on an unnamed exchange house on 2 June 2025 for failures to comply with the country's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing policies and procedures. The action followed examination findings by the regulator that identified compliance deficiencies at the institution, with the CBUAE citing the outcome of its supervisory examination as the basis for the sanction.

The 2 June action came within days of a cluster of related enforcement measures. On 28 May 2025, the CBUAE imposed combined fines of AED 18.1 million on two foreign bank branches operating in the UAE. On 29 May 2025 it fined a separate exchange house AED 100 million.
