Commercial Bank Qatar has appointed Stephen Moss as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2025, succeeding Joseph Abraham, who had led the bank since 2016. Moss brings more than 30 years of international banking experience to the role, having held a series of senior positions at HSBC across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
The announcement was made through a statement published on Commercial Bank's official website. The appointment followed a comprehensive global executive search, the bank said.

Prior to joining Commercial Bank Qatar, Moss served as HSBC's Regional Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. His career at HSBC spanned more than three decades and took him through multiple geographies.
