Danske Bank said on Monday that it repurchased 317,832 shares for a gross value of DKK 118,487,790 during week 37, as part of its ongoing DKK 4.5 billion share buy-back programme.

The disclosure, covering transactions carried out in the week, showed cumulative shares repurchased under the programme had reached 7,497,954 shares, worth a total of DKK 2,514,633,224, since the buyback began earlier this year.

PROGRAMME RUNS INTO EARLY 2027

The buy-back programme was announced on 5 February 2026 with a total value of DKK 4.5 billion and a maximum of 45,000,000 shares. It began on 9 February 2026 and is scheduled to run until 29 January 2027 at the latest, giving Danske Bank close to a year to complete the full repurchase amount.

The accumulated repurchases to date represent 0.919% of Danske Bank's total share capital, indicating the programme remains at a relatively early stage relative to its overall size and share ceiling.

WEEKLY DISCLOSURES TRACK PROGRESS

Danske Bank, like other Nordic and European lenders running large repurchase programmes, is required to publish regular updates detailing the volume and value of shares bought back each week. These disclosures give investors visibility into the pace of execution and allow comparison against the programme's overall targets and timeline.

The bank's announcement did not detail the specific trading venues or daily price ranges for the week 37 transactions, focusing instead on the aggregate weekly and cumulative figures. Danske Bank is expected to continue providing weekly updates as the buy-back programme progresses toward its DKK 4.5 billion ceiling.

With a ceiling of 45,000,000 shares and a total value of DKK 4.5 billion, the programme announced on 5 February 2026 remains one of the larger capital return initiatives among Nordic banks currently under way. At 0.919% of share capital repurchased so far, Danske Bank still has the bulk of the programme's capacity remaining as it works toward the 29 January 2027 deadline.

The bank's week-by-week disclosure format, consistent with market transparency requirements for share buy-backs, allows shareholders to monitor both the pace of repurchases and the average price paid over time, offering a clear record of how the DKK 4.5 billion programme is being executed across its nearly year-long duration.

Danske Bank's cumulative repurchase total of 7,497,954 shares, worth DKK 2,514,633,224 since the programme's February 2026 start, shows the buyback has already progressed well beyond its early stages by week 37. The gross value of DKK 118,487,790 spent in the latest week alone illustrates the scale of capital the bank continues to commit to the programme on an ongoing weekly basis as it works toward the DKK 4.5 billion overall target.

The programme, announced on 5 February 2026 and running through to 29 January 2027 at the latest, gives Danske Bank close to a full calendar year to complete repurchases up to the 45,000,000-share ceiling. Week 37's activity forms one instalment in that longer sequence, with the bank continuing to publish weekly transaction summaries as part of its ongoing capital return programme.

The average price implied by the week 37 figures, derived from dividing the DKK 118,487,790 gross value by the 317,832 shares repurchased, gives shareholders a further data point for tracking how the bank's buy-back execution price has moved relative to earlier weeks of the programme since it started in February 2026.
