Deutsche Bank announced on 1 September 2025 that it has appointed Lisa McGeough as Head of the Americas Region and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank USA Inc. The appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, covers what McGeough called one of Deutsche Bank's most important markets and what Fabrizio Campelli described as an important growth driver for the bank.
McGeough joins Deutsche Bank from HSBC, where she held the position of Chief Executive of the bank's US operations before her departure.
Deutsche Bank confirmed that McGeough will join the bank's Group Management Committee and report directly to Fabrizio Campelli, the Management Board member responsible for the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank as well as the Americas, UK and Ireland regions.
TAKING UP THE ROLE IN EARLY 2026
The bank said McGeough would join in early 2026; the appointment is subject to regulatory approval. During the period between the announcement and her formal start, Paul Maley, interim Head of the Americas Region and CEO of DBUSA since Stefan Simon left in May, will continue in the role.
