Handelsbanken Names Mårten Bjurman as Chief Financial Officer

Svenska Handelsbanken AB announced on 30 April 2025 that Mårten Bjurman had been appointed Chief Financial Officer, with the appointment to take effect no later than 1 September 2025. Bjurman, until now Head of Handelsbanken's internal audit function, will join the executive team in his new role.

Carl Cederschiöld, who was appointed Head of Savings and Financing, will continue to serve as CFO until Bjurman formally takes up the role.

BJURMAN STEPS UP FROM INTERNAL AUDIT

The fact that Bjurman has headed Handelsbanken's internal audit function means his appointment represents a promotion from within rather than an external hire.
