Marie-Ange Debon took the chair of La Banque Postale's Supervisory Board on 2 December 2025, following her formal appointment to the position. Debon also serves as Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of La Poste Groupe, the French postal and financial services group that owns La Banque Postale.
Her appointment brings to a close the 12-year tenure of Philippe Wahl, who had chaired the Supervisory Board since 15 October 2013.
DEBON'S DUAL ROLE AT LA POSTE GROUPE
As Chairwoman and CEO of La Poste Groupe, Debon oversees the broader group strategy encompassing postal services, logistics, digital services, and financial activities.
La Banque Postale distributes its services through post offices across France. Its mandate has historically included an obligation to provide basic banking services to all French residents.
The Supervisory Board, in the dual-board governance structure used by La Banque Postale, is responsible for overseeing the management board that handles day-to-day executive leadership.
DEBON'S BACKGROUND
Debon's background spans the infrastructure and services sectors. Before joining La Poste Groupe, she chaired the Executive Board of transport group Keolis (2020-2025) and held senior executive roles at Suez, including head of its international business and General Secretary.
