How the FY2025 recognitions are determined
The FY2025 Performance Recognitions are based on FY2025 financial results published in the 2026 TGB Bank Rankings. They are determined entirely from banks' published full-year financial statements: there is no entry process and no fee, and no bank can influence the outcome.
The data are those of the TGB Bank Rankings (2026 edition): 201 consolidated banking groups, each checked against its own annual report or regulatory filing, converted to US dollars at the exchange rate on the bank's financial year-end. Subsidiaries of ranked groups are not assessed separately. Full definitions are in the rankings methodology.
Most Profitable Banks ranks banks with total assets of at least US$50 billion by return on equity: net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent (before AT1 coupons) divided by year-end shareholders' equity.
TGB Awards 2027
