How the FY2025 recognitions are determined

The FY2025 Performance Recognitions are based on banks' 2025 performance (FY2025 audited results). They are determined entirely from banks' published full-year financial statements, and no bank can influence the outcome.

The data are those of the TGB Bank Rankings: 201 consolidated banking groups, each checked against its own annual report or regulatory filing, converted to US dollars at the exchange rate on the bank's financial year-end. Subsidiaries of ranked groups are not assessed separately. Full definitions are in the rankings methodology.

Best-Capitalised Banks ranks banks with total assets of at least US$50 billion by shareholders' equity as a percentage of total assets. It is a simple, comparable measure of loss-absorbing capital and is not a credit rating.

TGB Awards 2027

Alongside the data-based awards, TGB runs submission-based programmes in areas such as digital transformation, transaction banking and sustainable finance, judged by an independent panel of industry experts and celebrated at the Awards Ceremony.
