Dutch payments company Adyen reported first-quarter 2025 net revenue of €534.7 million, a 22% increase on the same period a year earlier. The figure came in marginally below analyst consensus expectations.

The platforms segment, which serves marketplace operators and software companies that embed Adyen's payment capabilities directly into their own products, grew 63% year-on-year. Unified commerce — Adyen's proposition for enterprise retailers seeking a single integrated payment solution spanning their online and physical store environments — expanded 31% over the same period.

GUIDANCE UNCHANGED

Adyen left unchanged its financial objectives, including annual net revenue growth of between the low-twenties and high-twenties percent up to and including 2026.

CFO Ethan Tandowsky nonetheless cautioned that, with more uncertainty in the macroeconomic outlook, the expected acceleration in growth could become more challenging should customers' own growth slow.
